Thanks for stopping by! I'm Rob, the midday meteorologist for NBC2 News in sunny (but oftentimes stormy) Southwest Florida!

Though I've been forecasting here for a long time, I actually first got interested in the weather when I was young in the lake effect snowbelt territory around the Great Lakes.

I've been fortunate to do some cool projects over the years like hosting the "A-Team" academic challenge on NBC2, reporting from ice caves in Lake Superior, interviewing pilots on board Hurricane Hunter planes and accompanying veterans on an honor flight to Washington, D.C.

Whatever I'm working on, I love sharing the excitement I have for my job and our area! And though you might see me on TV talking about the weather from time to time, you'll probably find me outside in our community enjoying it even more!
